Richmond Vale Academy employs more than 25 people. Meet some of the staff here:


  • Stina Herberg, Executive Director

    Stina was born in Norway and is the academy’s director. For the past 25 years she has worked with education, environment and development projects in Angola, Mozambique, Denmark, Norway, Caribbean and USA. Stina became the director at Richmond Vale Academy in 2007.
  • Tomika Caesar Anavisca, Director

    Tomika is from Richland Park Village. Tomika joined as a student in 2008 and has followed the development of RVA since. Tomika currently serves as a director of the board.
  • Garnet Jeffers - Recruitment Department

    Agronomist, Disaster risk reduction and Agriculture consultant, with an emphasis on climate change and the impact it has on small islands. Bright funny determined young man thats welcoming, inviting and a genuine representation of the amazing nature that embodies the culture that is St vincent and the Grenadines.
  • Rommel (Flex) Spring, Home Garden Project

    Flex is an ecological farmer and has worked with RVA growing vegetables and other crops for the past few years. Flex has a sucessful and highly productive Pass-It-On Model Home Garden in Chateaubelair.Flex is certified in PermaCulture Design and takes care of the Academy's vegetable garden.
  • Jesper Friis, Manager of Projects

    Jesper holds a BA in Pedagogy from DNS in Denmark. He has traveled and studied in more than 40 countries including Turkey, India, Libya, Mozambique, Cuba, USA and Germany. Jesper is a certified PADI Diving Instructor and is also certified in Solar Energy Photovoltaic Design and Installation with NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners).
  • Tamas Gubicza, Teacher

    Tom was born in Hungary. After finishing Janus Pannonius University of Pécs with a teachers degree he worked as a ski instructor for many years. He went to Africa, where he worked as a volunteer-teacher ( Namibia ). He joined Richmond Vale Academy in 2018 as the teacher for the Fighting Poverty program.
  • Luke Punnett, Home Garden Project

    Luke is from Vermont and has a BA in Business Management. Luke is a certified Perma Culture Design Instructor running an organic farm in Vermont. He teaches organic farming, agroforestry, soil management, production of organic fertilizer. Luke joined RVA in 2014
  • Cleo Westfield, Accountant

    Cleo is from Petit Bordel and studied Principles of Business at St. Vincent Grammar School. Cleo has been teaching at Troumaka Secondary School before he started working as an accountant in 2017.
  • Raymond Matthews, Farm Manager

    Raymond is from Fitz Hughes and has been working at Richmond Vale Academy for more than 15 years. Raymond manages the commercial farm production which ranges from passion fruits, trees and eggs.
  • Else Marie Pedersen, Recruitment Department

    Else Marie is from Denmark, has worked with Marketing and Enrollment in St Vincent and the Grenadines for 7 years, before that in the USA and Europe. She has travelled the world extensively including several countries in Africa. She will be here to answer all your questions and support you in any way possible for you to get started!
  • Danail Petrov, Home Garden Project

    Danail was born in Bulgaria and has a BA in Forestry. Danail has worked with community development and water security with DAPP in Zambia before joining RVA in 2017.
  • Eronne Evans, Grant Administrator

    "Eronne is an accounting and finance professional who has worked throughout the CARICOM region. With a passion for regional integration, technology, and volunteerism, Eronne joined the RVA team to contribute to their mission using his experiences and competence. Eronne has successfully managed various grant projects and is keen on rendering his serives to the development of the RVA and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
  • Romain Roberts, Home Garden Project

    Romain is from Guyana and he studied Agriculture and Computer Science. In 2019 Romain joined the Richmond Vale Academy and volunteered both in communities in St. Vincent and in Ecuador. Romain joined the Academy in August to work with the Ecological Home Garden Project.
  • Tobias Herberg, Marine Projects

    Tobias has a background in Industrial work and has completed the Climate Compliance Program and been an assistant teacher at RVA.Tobias is passionate about marine life and marine conservation and is a certified PADI Dive Instructor with speciality in Deep diving, Fish Identification, Peak performace bouancy and Digital underwater photography. Tobias works with the Coastal and Marine conservation projects.  
  • Pat Otley, Landscaper

    Pat is a lifelong farmer from Chateaubelair, has his own farm in the Richmond Valley. Pat is in charge of developing the park areas around the Academy.
